MEET KAY PARKER
Owner Parker Therapy Group
M.S., CCC-SLP
I’ll never forget the feeling I had when I began my career in 2003. I wanted to help everyone no matter their age or diagnosis. I was nervous, as all new graduates are, but I was confident I could lean on my
education. During the first 8 years of my career, I worked in every setting possible including a school for the deaf, long-term acute care hospitals, home health and early childhood intervention. This rich
background gave way to my passion for helping children. For this reason, I opened my practice in 2011.
My specialties include speech and language disorders, apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, feeding and swallowing, Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), dyslexia and literacy. After 20 years of practice, I can still say that I am on fire for learning and committed to help my clients.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my husband Brian and our two very active children. We spend most days playing soccer, basketball, swimming or gymnastics and playing with our crazy dog, Dash.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Stacy Dickerson
I’ve always known I wanted to work in the medical field, but it wasn’t until I shadowed in a skilled nursing facility that I discovered my passion for Occupational Therapy. Helping kids grow and thrive brings me so much joy, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the progress they make.

My determination and strong work ethic are qualities I take pride in, and they drive me to give my best every day.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me binge-watching TV shows with my daughter—it’s our favorite way to spend time together. And when it comes to snacks, chips and queso are my ultimate weakness!

I’m grateful for a career that lets me make a difference in the lives of the children and families I work with, and I look forward to continuing to support their growth and success.

Ashley Konecny
I chose this career because it offers a dynamic and diverse work environment that allows me to help others across all stages of life. There’s nothing more fulfilling than engaging in meaningful work that positively impacts lives.
One of the things I love most is building relationships with my patients and their families. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their progress and see how it improves their overall quality of life.

My areas of expertise include articulation, language, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), feeding, and TOTS (Tethered Oral Tissues).

When I’m not working, I cherish spending time with my husband, Nick, and our two daughters. I’m an avid reader and enjoy diving into a good book during my free time. I also have a soft spot for french fries and cookies! A personal favorite escape is traveling to the beach. There’s nothing quite like watching the sunrise over the ocean—it’s my happy place.

M.C.D., CCC-SLP
ALISON KILLEBREW
I grew up in New Orleans but moved to the Northshore in 2023 after relocating to Memphis, TN for a few years. I attended LSU and received my Masters in Communication Disorders from LSU-HSC. I have been a speech therapist for 8 years and have worked with both children and adults in a variety of settings.
I chose to become a speech therapist because I have always had a passion for helping others communicate and express themselves. I love getting to see the progress and growth each of my clients makes. Something I love most about being a speech therapist is seeing my client’s confidence grow as they progress in therapy. I find it so rewarding to see clients meet goals and the excitement their progress brings to both them and their families.

Some of my specialties include early intervention, articulation disorders, language disorders, and social communication disorders.
When not at work, I love to spend time with my husband, and two children. My favorite things to do are to go on walks with my family, travel to the beach and cook.

ELIZABETH LEVET
I decided to be an SLP because I've always wanted to encourage and support children, especially those with communication difficulties. I love it when a child gains confidence in their abilities, and begins to believe that they can achieve anything! I am a very good listener and possess a high degree of empathy.
My hobbies include reading, gardening and enjoying birds in nature. My favorite junk food is chocolate! I have three wonderful adult children and two precious grandsons. My daughter is also a speech pathologist who lives in Washington St.

M.S., L-SLP, CCC- SLP
ALEXIS DROBNER
I chose a career in speech-language pathology because it allows me to combine my love of language, child development, and helping others. I am passionate about giving children the tools they need to communicate confidently and connect with the world around them. Communication is such a core part of being human, and helping children find their voice is incredibly impactful. I wanted a career where I could make a difference in the lives of those I work with.
Working with children allows me to use creativity, play, and imagination every day to help them learn. It’s what I love most about my job! Speech pathology is the perfect blend of science and fun – using evidence-based strategies in ways that feel like games or stories. My favorite areas of expertise include speech sound disorders, aspects of social communication, literacy and language-based learning, early language and play skills, and AAC.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially my dog Willow. I love teaching her new tricks and giving her car rides for pup cups. Some of my favorite hobbies include walking outside, taking pilates classes, reading, shopping, and trying all the new coffee shops around! I especially enjoy when fall rolls around – I am a sucker for pumpkin and all things cinnamon and spice. Some of my favorite foods include all things breakfast, sushi, and any type of sweet and sour candy.

M.S., CS-SLP
Lily McCann
I recently graduated with my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and just began my Clinical Fellowship. I also recently moved to New Orleans and am enjoying getting settled into my new home and exploring the city.

I’ve always been drawn to helping people express themselves and connect with others. Communication plays such a huge role in confidence and independence and being able to support someone in that process is incredibly rewarding. I love seeing clients make progress that truly impacts their daily lives. Whether it’s helping a child improve their language skills or supporting an adult as they rebuild communication and cognitive abilities, those moments of success are what make this work so meaningful.

My areas of interest include orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding, and language development. I also enjoy working with adults on cognition and memory and look forward to continuing to grow my experience across different populations. I’d say one of my best qualities as a clinician is my ability to connect with clients and families in a genuine, encouraging way that helps them feel comfortable and supported.

I enjoy walking my dogs at the park, spending time with friends over coffee or dinner, and relaxing at home with my cats and a good movie. I also love reading, shopping, sports, cooking, and traveling—and I’ll never pass up a takeout sushi night.
I’m so excited to start this new chapter with Parker Therapy Group and to continue learning and growing alongside such a supportive team!
Support Staff
Truly the people who make our world a little easier!

Carri Mclain - Administrator
I have a deep passion for helping people connect with the right therapists. As a mother of three autistic children, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating communication and sensory processing disorders. Finding the right fit for individual needs can feel overwhelming, and I’m dedicated to helping others through that process. I also know how complicated insurance can be, and I strive to guide families toward the best solutions without compromising on quality care.

This work is incredibly fulfilling for me. I love supporting families who are eager to see growth and development in their children. It’s especially rewarding to tell a parent who has faced countless waitlists that, yes, I can help them find what they need. These families aren’t just numbers to me—I truly value the trust they place in me and the experiences they share.
I believe my greatest strength is my ability to listen and communicate with empathy and compassion. Many of the people I speak with are worried, confused, or frustrated. I make it a priority to hear the heart behind their words, understanding the emotions and stories beneath the surface. My life experiences have given me the patience and perspective to offer support in even the most challenging situations.

In my free time, I find peace by the ocean, where the sound of the waves soothes my soul. I also enjoy martial arts, running, reading, and musical theater. When I can, I love taking long walks through the trees or by a lake. Spicy foods are my favorite indulgence—Flaming Hot Cheetos and Almond Roca are my go-to guilty pleasures.

On a personal note, I’m a kind and sensitive individual who will always go out of my way to help a friend. I have an optimistic outlook on life that I credit to my father. As a mother to four amazing kids—ages 12, 10, 8, and 5—three of whom are on the autism spectrum, my family is my world. I also share my home with a Persian cat named King Louis, three other cats, and our lovable (if not-so-bright) dog, Brownie.

Paige Coats - Medical Biller
I chose my career because I’ve always had a passion for healthcare and a heart for helping others. Being told I have a “giver’s heart” has guided me to medical billing and coding—a field where I can advocate for people and be their voice. This career lets me channel my analytical and detail-oriented nature into something meaningful. I wake up every day excited to solve problems, knowing I’m making a difference.

What I love most about my job is that it doesn’t feel like work. To me, it’s like solving a puzzle—each piece I fit together is another problem resolved. Beyond helping people, I find so much joy in doing something I’m good at and genuinely enjoy.

My specialty lies in my ability to be highly detailed and analytical. Whether it’s researching or navigating the complexities of insurance cases, my attention to detail and logical reasoning help me bring issues closer to resolution.

In my free time, I love anything outdoors—tubing, fishing, hiking, and golfing are some of my favorite activities. I also enjoy spending time with friends, watching the latest horror movies, and indulging in my favorite treats: French fries, dark chocolate, and lemon or blue raspberry candy.

On a personal note, I graduated in spring 2024 after completing Medical Billing & Coding courses and am now working toward my Certified Professional Coder certification, with plans to pursue an auditing certification in the future. I also love helping my sister with her handmade jewelry business.

A perfect day for me is a rainy, cold Friday evening spent relaxing. I have an adorable obsession with turtles, enjoy pop culture and reality TV, and love reading or dabbling in mock-up interior designs. Life’s little joys are what inspire me every day!

Paige Ritter - Patient Liaison
I wear a few different hats in the office, from patient and doctor coordination to managing our social media, and I truly enjoy every part of it. I chose this career because I love helping others and contributing in a meaningful way. I believe one of the simplest yet most powerful things we can do is be kind and share a smile. If I can brighten someone’s day or make them feel understood, I feel completely fulfilled.

What I love most about my work is meeting new families and watching each patient’s progress over time. Therapy is a journey and a commitment, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of each patient’s unique experience.

When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my husband and our two daughters. We love outdoor adventures (especially when the weather is nice), cooking together, and family movie nights. When I get a little time to myself, you’ll usually find me cozied up with a cup of coffee or binge-watching my latest favorite show.
